Adaptive Art Specialist
Through art education, Coreysha Stone is able to integrate her Occupational Therapy training and increase access to art, media, processes, and techniques for all students.
Stone earned her Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy in 2009. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Stone has provided direct Intervention services children and their families in homes, communities, and school settings.
Developing lessons that include modifications for various skills and abilities increases engagement.

Providing opportunities for motor and sensory breaks can help students focus
Organizing materials for those with less mobility, reducing visual/auditory stimulation, providing a visual timer, displaying instructions with words and images, and clearly labeling supplies are ways to support different learners and promote student independence.
